1. Consumption
Water- had 2 bottles of water, took a seven minute shower, flushed the toilet 5 times and brushed my teeth twice
Food - Frosted Flakes, english muffin, pizza, tator tots, salad, Wendy’s hamburger and chicken nuggets, chicken and broccoli alfredo ziti
Electricity - Only used lights when i really needed them, wasn’t home for long so i watched an hour of TV, i did use heat overnight though
Gasoline - Commute to and from school on the bus
2. Reduction
My cutbacks today were mainly focused on electricity. My water intake slightly rose, while my food and gasoline consumption stayed about the same. I didnt touch the laptop or my Xbox and i barely watched TV. So i truly cut down my use of Technology on Thursday.
3. Sustainibility
I don’t see myself being able to cut back on use of technology. One day of cutbacks to this extent would be tough for me if i were at home. Technology has just become a commonality in our daily lives, that its hard to “X” out hours of use. But I still seee myself holding my water usage to this point far after the 7-day challenge

People are doing great with this project, most of them probably better than me. Students have taken this seriously and I’ve seen creative thoughts like people completely unplugging chargers to eliminate even the resting consumption they have. I just think it’s cool to see the steps we’ve taken to pursue a common goal.

1. Consumption
Water - 1 bottle of water today, 6 minute shower, washed my hands, brushed my teeth twice, and flushed toilet (normal consumption)
Electricity - Been home most of the day so I’ve been watching TV, not much laptopuse, listened to my ipod quite a bit, minimized light usage today (before dusk at least)
Gasoline - None (only what the T used)
Money - ~$25 on haircut and food
2. Reduction
I consumed more than the other days of my seven day challenge but compared to my previous lifestyle I’ve cut back on water use and electricity. The main contributions to this are shorter showers and more close watch of which lights don’ need to be on
3. Sustainibility
As usual I am finding it easy to cut back on my water and electricity usage. These are areas where I can see myself making lifetime changes.
4. Following
I’ve noticed most people have found success in cutting back on their water usage. I think this is a direct result of our recent case study. We now can see the value of water to those less fortunate, and personally I feel water is now a privilege rather than a right. Most people have taken this very seriously and are making concerted efforts.

1. Consumption
Water - only used 1 bottle of water but drank from the fountain as well today, 6 minute shower, washed dishes and ran water for about 5 minutes, washed my hands about 7 times
Food - Bowl of Frosted Flakes, 1 orange, 3 granola bars, School lunch (pizza, fries, salad, choco milk), 2 Taquitos (7/11), pork chops, rice + beans, string beans
Gasoline - Took the T to and from school
Electricity - Been sleeping most of the day so no T.V. and I just got on the computer for this post, Ipod
Money - ~5.00 on lunch and for food after school
2. Reduction
I spent a lot less time on the computer and watching TV and i also spent a lot less money than yesterday. My water consumption is about the same. There again was no need to heat the house so we conserved electricity.
3. Sustainability
My water consumption and gasoline consumption seem to be pretty constant. I feel as if my gasoline consumption doesn’t change unless I drive somewhere because the T will run its buses and trains whether I ride or not. My water consumption is not high compared to most so I am content with that. The lack of computer usage and T.V./ COD are sort of taking a toll on me, so I see changes in that area in the near future.
4. Following
Compared to my colleagues I appear to be in the middle ground in terms of consumption. Short showers seems to be the trend and it has become fairly easy to maintain for

1. Consumption
Water - Drank one Poland Spring bottle (maybe two considering the water fountain from the gym), 5 1/2 minute shower, brushed teeth, washed hands, flushed toilet, used less water when washing dishes
Food - Too much to list lol
Electricity - computer use for homework only, lights, refrigerator, microwave
Gas - Commute to school, then gym (near North Eastern) then home.
2. Reduction
I took a much shorter shower and I wasn’t home until 8:30 so there was a 14-hour period with minimal electricity use at home. I haven’t used heat at all today (blankets/covers instead) and I’m sleeping right after i post this to minimize my electric consumption as well. I have also dimmed the lights in my room to help reduce consumption when I need to use the lights. No COD tonight :’(
3. Sustainability
I could definitely take shorter showers on a regular basis to conserve water and limit my water bottle usage as well. Also dressing warmer will limit my need for heat in the coming winter nights. Dimming the lights is also a great idea to reduce my carbon footprint and starting now I will completely shut off the lights whenever my TV is on.

Noticing many of the people I follow have limited their money usage, something I neglected to do. Probably something I want to keep in mind tomorrow.
